Well Pump Repairs by Morris-Jenkins

Dealing with a broken well pump is stressful! It’s something a lot of people don’t know how to fix, and a lot of the time, it can wreak havoc on your home. Sometimes, it can get so bad that the water in your home doesn’t work at all! That’s a plumbing emergency, and you shouldn’t have to wait for help. That’s where we come in! When you call us out for well pump repairs, we’ll get there faster than anyone because your family shouldn’t have to wait for access to water.

What is a Well Pump?

Well pumps are a great way to provide your home with water without relying on chlorinated city water. These devices push water into a storage tank from a well, and the water stays in that tank until you’re ready to use it. The whole system relies on a pressure tank system to send water into your home.

Common Well Pump Problems We Can Fix

Some common signs you might be dealing with well pump problems include:

  • No water at all
  • Low water pressure
  • Pulsing water pressure
  • A well pump that constantly runs
  • Sand is coming from your well pump
  • High electricity/utility bills

Before calling us, you can do a couple things to potentially fix it yourself. First, check that the well switch hasn’t been turned off. You can find this switch near the pressure tank. If that looks alright, check the circuit breaker to see if it tripped. If that’s the problem, reset it. If the breaker keeps tripping though, leave it alone and call us! It means there’s a bigger problem at play.

If your faucets are sputtering, you might just have air trapped in your water supply lines from your well pump. Try turning on your faucets and appliances for around ten minutes to help get all the air bubbles out. If that doesn’t do the trick, you might have a more serious issue with your well pump. But don’t worry, we’ve seen it all! A confusing and scary well pump problem for you is just another routine thing for us. We’ve got this!
